My cat is a buddha

My cat is a Buddha. No its not. Though it is a little body that is automatically aware it still uses the little mind. Unable to reflect and see it can rely on its physical body that is automatically aware instead of its little mind. Buddha nature. Animal mind. Unable to grasp its prime nature it is not a Buddha.

We never put cats in the oven, not even imagined ones.

Do Us a favour ("and" Joe ) and post that lovely picture of the cats lying on you on a couch with the laptop.
The catchphrase could be "Hidden Buddha" (Meido book pun)

Cats are so cool. Masters of their little attentions. Ignoring us half the time we try to get their little attentions but still hearing us. No they are not little buddhas. Buddha body's not Buddha minds. This saying is incorrect. Flawed. Anyone can write philosophy or imagine concepts. To be or not to be? Is the dumbest question on earth. You already exist without even trying at all.

Cats are cool glad to hear you like them.
As for the topic title, I've never said a cat was or wasn't a Buddha, for me "is" and "is not" do not apply to phenomena (and 'self), if you'd have one or more actual authentic awakening experiences, you might feel the same and wouldn't have the urge perhaps to start topics like this. Actually I did say before that a pooping dog was a Buddha, but no one really understand what such words mean. But here's a nice quote for you.

"Without differentiation,
there is no knower.

Without a knower
there are no words.

Without words
there is neither existence
nor non-existence.

Neither knowing
nor not knowing.

All dharmas are this way.

~Pranjaparamita Sutra
