Birth and death is a very serious matter. Very, very serious indeed. :114:

I wish I was allowed to respond to that.

Self-moderation?

I'm all for the seriousness of so-called birth and death.
Yet in all religions (Buddhism too) there are texts who use "death" or "karma" as some kind of warning, inducing fear into people is a good way to control the mob for political/ulterior motives, hence in my view no teaching based on fear is a true teaching.
(except its very arising ofcourse)

Those who do not believe this sūtra

But slander it,

Will destroy the seeds of Buddhahood

When their present lives end,

They will fall into the Avīci Hell.

To be content, you must pass the baton.

The time will come. Didn't somebody mention this was the "dharma ending age" or some such?

Hi Enver,

You are already aware of them, so maybe if you do your best to practice the Dharma, while wishing for happiness and peace for all sentient beings, you'll be able to gently let them go .

In my experience, paying attention and honesty are important. Habitual patterns arise. Notice it. Keep noticing. Go deeper.

Sometimes, as if by a miracle, they fall by the wayside, the habits, and we don't notice until later. Zazen may well have something to do with it.
