Re: photographs you have made.

Hi Joe,

I don't dream ...but I hasten to add that it doesn't mean I'm claiming to be "awakened"!

Be well and happy,

~ Crystal.

Re: Dear Members

I think its very sad that first Jundo was removed - and now Meido and Guo Gu have had to go too . I also think it will be a wasted space if this place turns into either a chaotic free-for-all, or a website where 2 or 3 people end up clearly dominating the various forums in it, but not necessarily be...

Re: The Great Exoteric Brain Machine

I'm starting to wake up from speaking like a computer. Thanks much to Crystal. Feels good to know that one can just be ordinary on the path, as long as you don't overthink it! Perhaps the thread should be re-titled: The Middling Exoteric Human Befriender. Ah yes, one can babble all kinds of fancifu...

Re: The Great Exoteric Brain Machine

It pleases me in general when people speak as people spoke in the Pali Canon. I always find that this sutta from the Pali Canon is a helpful reminder for my practice.... [Devata:] Those who abide in the forest, Peaceful, living the holy life; Those who eat but a single meal; — why is it their face ...

Thanks!, Crystal. Good to see you. Solstice greetings, and Solstice blessings, :115: and other year-end observances too numerous to mention, but including Christmas and the New Year. We won't "pre-judge" what the new year will bring, but I'd say it's still early-days of just about everything. --Joe...

Re: Prejudice

Enver, prejudice is quite a natural thing, I think. What I've found useful is to bring the attention to my responses as "prejudice" arises. In the body, the emotions, the stories.. Pay attention to them, don't indulge. Where does it come from? Probably from the age-old pattern of comparing - worryi...

Crystal,

What can I do in order to escape my old habits?
Hi Enver,

You are already aware of them, so maybe if you do your best to practice the Dharma, while wishing for happiness and peace for all sentient beings, you'll be able to gently let them go .

Re: Zen sickness

Personally I think both "GIYF"and "RTFM" is bad netiquette on a topic like this. I read Enver's post as an invitation for the more knowledgeable to provide edification and perhaps reliable sources, something you can't readily discern from Google. and quality control is quite a valuable resource to ...
