Yes, but we would have to change the mere "hysteria and philosophical acceptance" to shock and awe, fear and panic, no doubt.

Re: How you create no karma?

I'm not even sure I know what the exact source of the "no-karma" theory is - I've heard this in Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Transcendental Meditation teachings. So I'm going to need direct ancient source text citations to be convinced. I left TM in 1978. If there is a sutta or sutra that clearly states...

So while on the one hand we can say that in "samadhi" - kamma is extinguished, to live in such a manner as to be inconsistent with creating future kamma for "other" beings would be.... SAD : (
And no fun, either!

Re: JOKES

how about some "zen" black humour? ok, pls, u go first. i mean, not to nirvana, but at a joke. Wiki: "An archetypal example of black comedy in the form of self-mutilation appears in the English novel Tristram Shandy; Tristram, five years old at the time, starts to urinate out of an open window for ...

Re: What is Zen?

If you want to know what Zen is, there is no need to hurry. It might be a long, draw-out, laborious process. I appreciate the context of "readiness of time" stated here. But in a monastic setting many teachers would be hard-pressed to accept this if it is used as an excuse. Even in a lay student se...

Re: How you create no karma?

well, yes, i missed it for ages, but i hit it once or twice ? I would say that if a monk sits in perfect samadhi, although no efflents, or unskilled action, ripples in the field of action, nothing "bad"can come out of it... and yet it can't be without karma of another kind. I would argue that perfe...

That is a very sickening thing to say about anyone else, or yourself.

You are looking for philosophy, I have none.
Not at all. My questions were plainly about practice. Simple answer: could be "daily zazen", "following white", or even "none". You didn't answer, and you certainly shouldn't feel you are required to.

It's a good time to start practicing, and only practicing!
What practice would that be?

Is it a practice you yourself are doing now? (Or maybe tomorrow? :P )

P.S. I'm pretty sure your practice of Following White is not going to catch on here!

Whether if you look from right or left.. [][][] thus is zen "Whether if you look from right or left.." I don't think so. If the three pillars are teaching, practice, and enlightenment, it is a mistake to think this order is reversible, imo. Thus the need to engage with a teacher ASAP. what is that ...
